I got an interesting question. I know its kinda a pain it the A$$ to put like the 6 speed outa a newer Z28 into a 69 Z28. I was wondering though, what about a Doug Nash 4+3 6 speed outa a mid to late 80's corvette. Would that be easier and work just as good, aside from being push-button overdrive, but u know. Anyways, just wondering if anyone thought of that yet, or maybe it has been attempted. Thanx for the info. Jon

I saw a magazine called Chevy Preformance (or somthing like that), and inside this months issue there is a article on Adding a 6Speed from a new Camaro to a 69, and all the items they did.

Yea i have seen a few articles on that, but its a hell of a lot of work, and thats why i was wondering if this other way would be easier. I have never seen anythin about it, and it looks like its a lot more similar to the 4 speed that came in the 69's. But thanx anyways. Jon

Go to Pro-Touring.net and look on the Forum. There is a guy putting together a Kit to install a 6 speed.

Not hard at all. If you are talking the LS1 version of the T56, you are in for a headache! But i have a kit that will allow a bolt in of a T56 from 93-97 into a first gen.
