i want to put a set of welds or ss/t's on my 69 but am not sure about the rear backspacing. it has a big 10 bolt rearend, multi leaf springs, and i am going to use 15" rims.
i want to go with 8" width, anyone know the max backspacing i can use and not rub the outer qtr lip? thanks

4 1/2 inch backspacing will do the trick for 8 inch wheels. I have 15 x 8 rallyes with that setup. No problems with 275 60R15 tires (rear of course). 235 60R 15 on the front with 15 x 8 's and same backspacing.

On my 67 I have N50 15inch tires on the back.
The air shock and multi leaf springs lift the outer lip above the tires. My problem was the inner quarter. Luckly i found 5/16"hub spacers that corrected the problem.
