The cross ram was a racing mainfold used by Chevrolet on its race Camaros. It was not a factory option offered to the general public. The only benefit was that it allowed the engine to breathe well at 7,000 to 8,000 RPMs. Oh yeah, it also looks pretty cool.
IMO, it's not an intake you would put on a street car, unless you don't care about how the engine performs. It is a no torque at low RPMS/high horsepower at high RPMs intake manifold.
