Does anyone have any ideas on changing body mounts? I am getting ready to try this, just wanted to know if there was a easy way of doing this little project. Since the car is 30 years old i am sure i will run into some problems.I hope they go easier than the rear springs went on. If anyone has any suggestions that could ease my pain,i would appreciate your help. Greg 69 camaro

Search the archives because I believe this topic has been discussed in depth recently.

Yes, do a search and you'll find more than you can imagine. Be prepared for also having to tackle body mount hole repair on the subframe.

Take it easy with the prybar when you change them. I didn't, and got the car in too much of a bind... & cracked the windshield.

How many body mounts per side on a camaro?I see one in the front ,and one at the end of the sub frame. I dont see any towards the back of the car. The sub frame is rusted pretty bad. Does the sub-frame just have a hole through it or does it have a sleeve through it? It is rusted pretty bad that i cant tell. I work in a tool and die shop. I have the access to alot of equipment and materials. I cant tell what it looked like originally. If someone could tell me what they look like new, that would help me out alot.

There are three main mounting points. The radiator support in the front, the center mount at the firewall, and the rear mount at the very end of the subframe. The Factory Assembly Manual has great illustrations and the Body by Fisher manual has all of the alignment information. Both are worth every cent.
