I'm having a problem removing the back two spark plugs on my 1987 305 V8 camaro. I was able to get the front six off fairly easily but the back two are really tucked away and I cant get at them. Does anyone know if its easier to put the car up on ramps to do this? Someone also told me that on some models you have to pull the engine out a little to get at them. If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Only engines I ever heard that had to be lifted to remove sparkplugs was the Chevy Monza's. Because of the one next to the steering gear being sooo close. Please advise if there are others. Thx. Merry X-mas. pdq67

I used to drop the starter and get them from below on my '84 (305 Z28 with A/C) before I put on headers w/o the smog injection tubes. After the headers went on I could get them all from the top. Used a plug socket with a hex end and a 3/4" wrench.

Merry Christmas!
