i just received 2 small block chevy engines on some trading adventure.and was wondering if some of you guys could help me figure out what they,s the numbers off the r/f pad-TO604CNF and the other one is TO51OHH.can anyone do anything with these numbers.if so i would appreciate it. THANKS

I will give it try, if you have the casting number from the back of the motor near the bell housing and date code on the opposite side of the rear of the block it might help identify your block better. according to my chevy small block v-8 id guide.

T= Tonawanda NY (engine plant)
0604 & 0510= Month & Day of Month
C=vehical type code NF=Engine id code
HH= Engine ID code only

CNF 1970 307 tur 350 trany body style A F X or 1982 350 Police LM1 body style B

HH 1965, 1966 327 vette or
1969 350 full size (pickup?)

if the block is pre 68 it will have a small journal crank, after 68 and would be a medium journal crank for a small block. You did not mention if you have a bare block only or the complete assembly. Good Luck
