My '67 base coupe has black plastic bullet door mirrors on both sides, they appear factory(no marks on doors or extra holes)but i have not seen anything like them looking at other peoples pics.Could they be factory or just a good job of replacing the original.

Thanks for letting me know that they did exist.I have to get rid of mine anyway.I had a fire in the garage a few years ago no real damage but enough heat to distort mirror shells, taillight lenses and grill before i got it out

Unless there is some hidden info. or mirrors, the only bullet shaped mirrors that were on a 67 was the remote mirror, and definitly not plastic. The only other mirror was the chrome flat looking one, and its made out of metal.

I have also seen bullet style mirrors on a 69 Camaro. They look very similar to 69 Corvette mirrors. In particular, the green 69 Baldwin-Motion Camaro in Otis Chandler's colection (pictures in American Musclecars book) has the bullet mirrors. However, they were painted body color, not black.

I really like the way this style mirror looks on the Camaro, but haven't had the time to track down the source.

I own a base model (X11) 1969 Camaro that has original bullet mirrors on the driver and passenger sides, with the driver's side mirror being a remote mirror. I can tell that the mirrors are original because they are painted the original color of the car (Butternut Yellow). This car also has some other options, like a rear fold down seat, air conditioning, and the special interior group.

I came to this message bord to post a question asking if anyone had heard of this option before when I saw this post, so now I know at least that someone else has a similar car! I can't find any information on what option this was or what Camaros got the bullet mirrors, so if anyone has any information on them please reply here! Thanks!

The black plastic bullets are an over the counter cheapo replacement if they have the metal chrome bases. My 69 had them, took them off and put on the correct rectangles(for 69). Anyone wants them they are FREE + shipping($5?).
