Question

My 69 SS has a small diameter (maybe 13") racing style steering wheel in it that was there when I bought it. I like the way it looks, but it's a little too small for me to see the dash gauges clearly (the top of the wheel blocks my view). The wheel is also looking pretty worn, and I've been looking around for a replacement. I've seen the rosewoods and comfort grips in the catalogs, but I was wondering if these were my only options. It doesn't have to be stock, just not look out of place. Any different ideas?
Thanks

I went with a LaCarra wheel. They have the bowtie emblem for the horn button and it bolted right up. Check out my signature link and one of the photos shows it pretty well.

Thumbs up

Very nice car!
What is the diameter of your steering wheel? It looks really good.

The O.D. of the wheel is 15". The only complaint is that it sits a little close to the dash pad. Maybe it needs a little more dish to it. I have a tilt column so that may have something to do with it however.

I put a Grant Evolution in my 68 about a year ago. It's excellent. Got it through Summit (showed wife exactly which one to get me for xmas). They make a boat load of different styles, and I'm sure they have a web site.
