I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I can take my old speedometer and fuel guage out of my 83 camaro and replace them with all auto meter guages. If someone could tell me step by step it would help out alot because i'm not real sure about if it would mess up anyother electical things in my car. I't will be a daily driver and see the strip everyso often. If need any more info just ask.
thanks ahead of time,

Autometer guages will work , you would have to bypass the factory wiring for the guage cluster and re run lines or wires to the new sending units included with the autometer guages,

This would also include the fuel sending unit, oil pressure unit, Temp sending unit, and voltage meter (the easiest of all to hook up) when replacing the stock senders with the autometer mechanical senders ,. this would also remove the functionality of the "idiot" lights on the orig dash, (but if your replacing them, so what, )

I DO NOT know however, if the car has a early model computer system and the effects it may have on the car, you may have to investigate this further, and if so it could be possible to close loop the system like so many of us do on our 1st gens with new style engines...

Hope this helps a little.
