Question

Good evening, I have a question about this car. Is there such a thing, and if so how rare, and if I know of one that is all numbers matching factory original is it worth a lot depending on the condition? My mechanic told me about this car. He says the guy is the original owner and wants to sell the car. Appreciate any input you all have. Allmost forgot, it has a turbo 400 trans. Thanks, Brian

nice car but for it to be a 396, it also must be an SS/RS. Big blocks were somewhat rare in 1967 Camaros. Alot depends on condition and options. It would make a nice canidate for restoration, etc. if that is what you are asking. Prices can vary from $5,000 to over $20,000 depending on many things. Post all the info you can VIN, trim tag, options, originality, paint, etc.

Hey Bob, My thinking is the car has to be have the SS option but not the RS, which is not engine related, also A/C was not avalable with a BB in 67.

Pipe's correct. You could have the 396 in a non RS version.

streetroder69 stated car was a RS with a 396.
For it to have both of those it would also have to be an SS from the factory. I was going by what he stated he knew about the car. It could also be a SS 396 without the RS option....

Cool

If it's an original owner, he might even have the window sticker, or the build sheet underneath the rear seat, or better yet, the Protect-o-plate. that would nice. I dare say have the owner's manual in glove box?

Well itís hard to say...Itís unlikely that no one has offered to buy it from before.
Donít offer him a ridiculously low price and insult the man... If heís any thing like me,
and I know Iím not alone, when I get the ď Ay mang I gib jew two hunnert dollar fer it ď
I pull out the baseball bat.

Thumbs up

OK I finally saw the car and I think its something special. How many 67 SS RS Big Block 396 325 horse Turbo 400 12 Bolt Possie Camaros were there made?

Here are the numbers off the cowl tag: F136/ 05B67-12637LOS / 19468/765-Z/E2MGR/3SLANSY / number off the block front pad: T0329MZ/7L156954

Vin #: 124377L156954

Vin matches block. Ok guys this is probably one for the registry. Please let me know. I am holding the sales contract, the options list and the window sticker. The guy has the protecto plate in his possesion.

The condition of the car: Very original, needs very little body work, has to be restored but everything is there. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Brian
