I am running a Summit HEI with the 46K volt coil...other than being in better shape than the original HEI I replaced on my truck, the only change I noticed was better gas mileage.

i ran a stock HEI in a 74 blazer for years w/o a problem. rebuilt the motor and its now in a 68 camaro, ran for about 3 months then installed a MSD6al... it really woke her up, runs better, and is a little faster to boot... wish i did this years ago in my blazer (RIP).
