i looked at 69 camaro for sale today and the owner says it is orig big block car but it has a x11 cowl tag and front drum brakes but the strange thing is that it does have the big block heater hose placement coming out of the fire wall and car does have a 12 bolt rear end
car is solid but he is asking $4500
there is proly alot of stadard base cars for cheaper price but
maybe this one is rare ?

X66 code is SS Big Block. Some X11 cars were SS 350's and some WERE NOT. There is NO possibility that a X11 car is a factory BIG BLOCK SS.

Big blocks were either X22's or X66's......KZ

Good point JOHN. X22 = SS396 with style trim group.

Some 427's (COPO) DID have X11 codes but of course they were never SS's.

The heater box is not all that hard a thing to change. The key is the drum brakes. An SS should have front disc brakes.
