I resently purchased a 1967 convertible camaro. I am having problems with the way the engine is mounted. It seems to me the frame horns where the mounts attach to are to far back. The motor is so close to the fire wall I can't get the bell housing bolts out. I used to have a 67 SS427 that I was able to instal a HEI ignition in. There's no way it will fit with this model that has a 350 in it. Does anyone know how the horns are supposed to attach to the cross member? These are over-hanging towards the back. If anyone has a picture of how this is supposed to look or knows how it is supposed to look please e-mail me. Or reply.

See other posts, in most cases the 67 has to have a slight massage on the fire wall to drop in an HEI distributor, On a small block.
It is a tight fit to get at those bolts, try going from underneath, with a 3 foot extension and short swivel socket.
