I have been having problems with the throttle on my Holley sticking open. The guy who built my eninge toos a shortcut and used a screw with 2 nuts and loc-tite to hold the throttle cable onto the carb. I am almost positive this is the reason it is sticking. It seems like the screw and nuts were too tight and causing the cable to kink. This may sound like a stupid question, but what should I use to hold the cable to the carb. I saw a throttle cable stud in Jegs, but it was like 8 bucks. Any suggestions?

Cool

I don't know how your year attaches, but I ran into this with the downshift cable on my truck. The end had broken off.I went to my local NAPA store, they had a briefcase sized bin full of misc. carb studs, linkage attachment clips, ect. It isn't stock, but I found the pieces I needed to get it to work.

Mr. Gasket sells a kit, local auto parts stores are likely to carry it. A speed shop will carry it. Do you have throttle return springs?
