Hi! I'm looking for some assistance decoding an original GM Delco alternator that I have. Vehicle application, model year, and anything else that can be deciphered would be appreciated.

A good source for information might be that "Chevrolet by the Numbers 65-69" book. I have the '70-75 version, but the alternator number is not listed in there. I suspect this one is a '69.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Below is what is stamped in the housing, as best as I can read it.

H 63A
9F23 12VNEG

I'm assuming that it may be a '69 model alternator, but don't know what it was used on. I plan to have it tested, and then possibly make it available for sale (assuming that it isn't correct for my own car!) for someone who might need a "correct" date-coded part for their restoration.

I noticed that section of the website after I posted the question here, so I have since copied it there in the hopes of a response. Thanks!
