I have a 68 convertible, when I purchased it the back windows were off track, I am trying to get them working. I bought new plastic bushings and last night I tried putting everything together "I have the cuts on my hands to prove it". Once I had everything in place it would barly roll up and down and was really rough. I put a little grease on the track but that didn't help. Any suggestions??

dont tighten the track rollers down so tight. you may want to grease the window tracks themselves with some type of white lithium grease. and a good shot of penetrating oil on the window gears and mechanism wouldnt hurt either.

it will get softer with each roll,

I had the same problem with mine when I purchased it last year.. most of the windows were difficult to roll up and down. I took all the windows and mechinisms out and lubricated them with white lithium and cleaned them up. Work as good as new now. takes a little patience but it was time well spent.
