I found a 72 chevelle station wagon with a 12 bolt under it. I know that not all 12 bolts are not posi, but I was wondering if anyone knows if it could be. I tryed to look up codes but it's barried deep in some weeds.
It also has tracktion arms like most chevelles do, but I'm slapping it under a 68 Camaro, so do I cut the arms off since i have mono leaf springs in back? Thanx

Chevelle rears of that year are wider than a Camaro rear. It can be done but you will probably need more backspacing on your wheels.

Most Chevelle 12 bolt rear ends are non posi. The rear ends from 68-72 Chevelle's are 1" wider. If you by some chance find one from a 64-67 Chevelle, these are the same width, you can change perches and go from there.

The ' 68-72 Chevelle rear is actually 56" wide compared to 54.5" for an early Camaro or Chevelle one. It will fit, but be wider, and you will have to do alot of cutting off, and welding on to make it work.
