I just bought a '69 Camaro sport coupe, that was from southern California, it is a 6-cylinder, but it is very solid, it has a/c in it, at first I thought it was a add on, because I thought 1975 was the first year of the a/c/ 6-cylinder availability. However, the compressor is GM, it has all the correct in-dash vents and controls, even the evap core casing looks factory, the engine code is BF which according to the Camaro White book is correct for a air-conditioned 250-6 cyl and manual trans. any body ever seen one that looks factory, or is it original? Does it have power steering? If so where is the compressor mounted? I have a 68 6 cyl that I added ps and wonder how hard it would be to add A/C.

I've got a 67 coupe that came from the factory with air and a 250 ci six, so I guess they have been around since day one.

I have seen a few 6-cyl A/C cars. It was an available option and is shown in the Assembly manual.

cs2000, could you email me or post the #'s of the car?

A/C was available on any 67 thru 69 Camaro except those engines equipped with solid lifters, 302/290HP and 396/375HP.
