I want to find some Recarro type seats for my 69, (to get rid of the "ironing board" feel of the stock buckets. Anybody know of where to get some where the brackets fit the floor ?

I have been looking into some good seats myself. Check out www.corbeau.com
I liked what I saw. They have alot of different models to choose from. They list the brackets also. I had them send me a catalog. I looked at recaros site and saw too many goddy colors for me.

white rs/ss> If those brackets on eBay are the same ones I saw : They do not say what year that they are for. I have 1 drivers side Recaro seat bracket that I bought years ago (drove to factory in Long Beach that made all brackets for Flofit & Recaro) for a '76 Camaro LT that I had. Those on eBay look identical to my '76 bracket. I tried it on the floorpan of my '68 and they don't even come close to fitting. Rick

If you are looking for some sort of comfortable form fitting seat search the local auto wreckers for seats from late model sport coupes. These tend to be very comfortable. If there are any shops in your town which modify rice rockets (i.e. Honda) see if they have any seats from interiors they have gutted, you might be able to get some from them cheap.
