I just took delivery of my '69 Pace Car a few days ago and I'm pleased with it. HOWEVER, I noticed a sound coming from what I initially thought was the trunk and after further investigation, it seems to be coming from behind the driver's side back wheel. I also checked the exhaust and everything is tight. When I shake the car, I can hear the noise also coming from that side. Sounds like a loose/groaning sound. Please help! Could it be a bad shock?

I had a clunking noise coming from the rear of my 67. I checked the spare, trunk lid, exhaust, etc. When the rear was bounced it clunked. Was at Clill's house and he zapped the right rear shock off and no clunk. Internal problem with shock assy.

Ed,

Sounds exactly like it! I was planning on replacing my shocks. Thanks!
