This is the VIN off the driver side door post I assume.

1 = Chevrolet
2 = Camaro
4 = V8
37 = 2 Door Sport Coupe (67 would be convertable)
L = Los Angeles Assembly Plant
139337 is the sequential build number

The next is the body number plate:

02A = Build Date of Feb first week
D383 I believe is a Los Angeles Plant Work Number
ST-67-12437 is a 1967 Chev. Camaro 2 Door Coupe.
Los -Los Angeles Plant
21126 = Fisher Body Number
TR-760 = Standard Interior Black, I believe buckets.

W-2 doesn't seem to show up as a color code for a 67. If it's on the same line as the TR but on the right side of the plate just before the work Paint it should be the exterior paint color, but W doesn't show up. The format is X-X with the first digit as the paint color and the second digit as the same letter or if it's a nuber, it indicates a vinal top color. For example, my trim tag has Y-2 in that place, Y=Butternut Yellow 2=Black Vinal Top. If I've mis-read the W-2, perhaps someone else can correct me.

TR-76C-Z: probably 760? - 760 - Black standard buckets, Z - Bucket seats
N-2-PAINT: N - Madeira Maroon, 2 - Black Vinyl top
E2G:
Group 1
E - all tinted windows
Group 2
G - center console

I'll fill in what I can and leave the rest. You have 76C-Z, it should be 760-Z, mine has the same, I can not decode the -Z anywhere,so I look forward to someone helping with that.

The N-2 is N for Madeira Maroon exterior paint (white stripe)and the 2 indicates a black vinyl roof. I can't find anyting on the E2G, will leave that to someone else as well.

thanks again for the great advice. I really appreciate it.

I have another question on mind.I was wondering if the stripe had anything to do with whether the car is a rally sport or just a standard camaro.Also you were correct about the vinyl top and the factory gages on the console.another response to my above question would be great.
Thank you Camarokidd

the Z is for Bucket seats as stated in my earlier post. if the car was a rally sport optioned car it would have Group 3 Option Information (last line of your tag, up to 5 groups) of 3 L
S - RPO Z23 option, interior decor
L - RPO Z22, Rally Sport Equipment
K - RPO Z21 option, style trim group
B - rear defogger
D - gauges or clock
to find out more about trim tag info try here: http://holisticpage.com/camaro/parts_fs.htm
but i have been told there are some errors. you can also go to http://www.camaros.org/index.shtml for the Camaro Research Group
you can also check the tag team section here to do more research.
