Drain all fluids, add clean oil and filter. Pull the spark plugs and shoot some fogging oil (boat stuff) in the cylinders. OR, use regular oil and turn the engine, by hand, on occasion while in storage. Make sure all gas is out of eh carb, pump, etc.

Question

Codi,

After shooting some oil into the cylinders, should I put the spark plugs back in or get an engine block off kit?

How can I be sure all gas is out of carb, pump, etc?

Thanks. I've never stored an engine before and I'm worried about it!

Regards,
Rob

Just make sure its inside and out of the weather. Leaving the plugs out will make it easier to turn over by hand.
