I am putting a big block in my 68 camaro. I understand that one or both of the motor mounts are different than a small block? (frame mounts). I have called npd and they are out of them, does anyone know who has them, and do I need to purchase both or just one. and if just one, which one?? thanx.

Both mounts have to be replaced. They are shorter than the small block mounts. Try year one or classic industries. Im sure somebody will have them in stock.

The frame mounts are different heights, not the engine mounts. Both pair have to be changed.

The mounts are definatly different. they not only lower the assembley, but they also move it to the passanger side for clearance of the steerting gear. Get a hold of Ricks, they had them a few months ago when i got mine

Your local Chevy dealer has them, too. That's where I got mine because they were cheaper than Rick's
