hi all, i,m new here, i,m a lady, i work on my own car, i have a 1981 231v6 coupe camaro,my stop light bulbs have blown out and i cant figure out how to get to them to replace them. in the trunk i see alot of large black screws, i took them off , but still i dont know how to get to the clear lens to replace the bulbs, i need help on this one,I have never changed them before, can anybody give me imfor. on what to do? thanks

thats all you need to do is remove all the black plastic nuts and pull the lights away from the body and there will be the light sockets push on the pronges on the sockets and turn and there they will pop out,then replace bulbs,you may have to wiggle the taillights to free them from the body.

1157 bulbs for taillights, I think the backup light is a 1156. Fronts are usually 1157 or 1157A for amber color.
Be careful on the 1157's the little pins on the side are different height from the base, and must go in the socket only one way so the contacts will hit the right way.

The older I get, the faster I was!
