I inquired about the Yenko earlier, apparently the authenticity is EXTREMELY suspect hence the "bargain" price.

That Yenko has an SS emblem on the grill which should not be there. There is also a valve cover decal that is wrong. It shows that whomever restored the car didn't do much research on it.

e-bay L-89 => I sent the seller an e-mail last week with some questions like:

1> any paper work like a PoP, broadcast sheet, or window sticker

2> assembly plant

3> body plate info

The guy never responded. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

The reserve on the L-89 hasn't been met (current bid is $20K). Can anyone tell me what this car would be worth if all of the #'s checked out?

There was one for sale here a couple of weeks ago for $24,900. I would think the car is worth at least $20K-$35K depending on overall condition and the numbers and paperwork. The one that was here for $24,900 was for sale in Nov for $14,900. The guy bought it sight unseen before I could get there to look at it. The owner wasn't sure if the VIN in the block matched the car and didn't bother checking for me. I could have had that car for $14,500 and now it would cost me almost twice as much because somebody is trying to make a quick buck.

From the #'s I saw on the L89, it is real.
Supposedly, the original owner's son has documentation for the car......
I wouldn't buy it without it.
