Saw a '68 convertible rs 327 today. More then likely doesn't run. The top is shot, and the interior needs replaced. It is a four speed, and the car has a lot of surface rust. I haven't had a chance to look at the floor pans or the trunk pans. Any idea as to what would be a good price for this car?

Thank You,
Sean

Question

Need alot more information. Could be worth anywhere for 2K-7K, depending on condition, originality, drivetrain, paperwork etc.......
Rust is your worse nightmare, check all the important spots, rockers, floorpans, frame rails, shock mounts, trunkpan, under the cowl panel, around the window channels etc......Do you have any pics? KZ

unfortunately no pictures yet. rust is in a lot of small spots, doesn't look like anything is rusted through, just on the surface. Rust spots pretty much along the side weather stripping, the edge of the trunk top, rs equipment looks to be all there. Top is shot, big rip overtop rear seats and a smaller tear overtop the front seats. I looked in the glovebox, only thing I saw was a title. Missing original hood, has what appears to be a '69 ss hood on it. Has a hole where someone did something to the transmission from the top on driver's side of tranny. Haven't got a look at the engine yet, but I will if I can get ahold of the owner. Looks to be a good project. I will try to bring pictures of it back with me tomorrow.

Thank You for the information,
Sean
