Has anyone installed a B&M Pro Stick shifter in a 69? I am removing the console and horseshoe shifter to install a B&M and I'm wondering if I need to modify the floor to bolt it in and if the trans cable routing to the TH350 will change.

Thanks!

I put a Pro Stick with aluminum cover in the original opening for the horseshoe. Bolted to the floor through new holes I drilled, you will have to make a new opening for the cable though. Other than that pretty easy job, make sure if you going to use the console to mark your holes with the shifter in the console already, don't guess where it will sit. Check out this link, I borrowed the idea from this guy. http://www.camarogenerations.com/sheets.html

That is AWESOME! I love how it sits in the console!

I hear the owner of the car, Anthony, created some shims to raise the shifter in the console. Did you have to do the same?

Do you have a pic of yours?

Thanks!

Question

What are you installing Ray?

I'm going from a PowerGlide to a TH350 and replacing the horseshoe w/ the B&M. I didn't think I'd be able to keep the console but this looks great!

I do not have any pics of my shifter, however it looks just like Mr. Sheets' does and it is very nice to not miss a shift. I did shim the base of the shifter, both front and back to get it to sit in there a little higher. Glad I could point you to the fix.
