I had the hood springs bead blasted and am wondering what finish should be used and what color? Thanks!

For originalitys sake, they are a grey phosphate that can be done by a guy in Calif. named Steve Gregori.

I used spray can Seymour cast blast.Looks good.Been on for 3+ years.I painted hood latch,master cylinder,and other stuff that is supposed to look bare.I bought some from Eastwood that looked the same.It cost about $4.50 a can,and you can probably get it at local part store.Ive looked at lots of show cars,lots of them use it.

When painting springs, use a weight to stretch/extend the spring for better paint
coverage. I used the castblast paint with a
slight over-spray of flat black for a darker
color. It closely matches the factory color
but the castblast is more durable.
