I would like to replace these gauges with some which are more accurate but I would like to keep a sort of stock appearence. Is there anyone who makes gauges which can be put in the exsisting housing but have modern technology and accuracy.

I think Moroso or someone makes a guage pod that goes on your console with better guages.
Your guages can be replaced by a repair shop, they can put new innards in them but I don't know about reading any better.

I'd thought for years about at least adding numerals to mine.

I don't think you will really see any better accuracy unless you get a bigger sweep to the guage. In that case, you will not be able to fit two guages per hole.

Now, if you have a particular problem with one guage, maybe you could concentrate on that one and get it working better. Maybe a sender or bad connection is it. There is a voltage regulator that goes back there to power the fuel, oil, and temp guages that can be changed.

Just my opinion.
Let me know if you find a better way.

Hey rick, I'll take your old gauges if you don't want them.
