Question

We just cut the trunk floor out today on my 69 RS and we found out that we need the inside piece below the trunk where the fuel tank brackets mount on the trunk floor. And we went to the Paddock place and they told us that piece is part of teh tail light panel. Is this correct? And we need the RS back up light panel too is that panel reproduced? Would it be best if we found a donor car with a good rear panel and cut it and use that? THANKS Matt

I don't think the panel that the straps fasten to is being reproduced yet, if so, it will be a new repo, it's not in my year old catalogs. It is not part of the actual rear tail panel that the tail light go in, it is a separate panel beneath it that is attached to the trunk.
The tail panel is reproduced, but it is not offered with the RS backup lights cut out, you have to do that yourself. I have a repo panel that I was going to use, I have already cut the lights out on, if you are close to me I would sell it, let me know. Hope this helps.

Any of the repo companies, Ricks First Gen, Classic Ind., The paddock...if they sell body panels, they will have the tail panel.

Are you talking about the braces inside the trunk that go from the tail panel to the floor? Rick's First Generation just started carrying them.

Inferno, I looked at my car today and in Rick's First Gen catalog, the gas tank straps attach to a brace that is welded to the trunk floor. RickD is right, Rick's has them.
