It is a metal plate about the size of a credit card. The dealership used these when they serviced the car. It has info on there that matches what the car has such as rear gear ratio type of trans. ect.It also has the owners name and address printed on it. I was able to contact the owner of my 70 z with the pop. and he told me all about the car. very helpfull if the owner still lives at the same place

It was supplied by the factory as part of the warranty and service package. It was part of the original owner's manual package that was supplied with the car. It is not on the car itself.
