Anyone have any alternate ideas for converting a 67 shifter from powerglide to 3 speed auto other than buying the $60.00 kits? All the conversion kits contain essentially is a new plate. If you had the pattern you could make one real easily I would guess. I just hate to give almost 60 bucks for a piece of 2"x3" 1/8" steel and 4 bolts

Thanks guys! Danny

I just did one sunday in a friend's 67 I built the 350 for.Trust me,buy the kit and save the hassle's.The kit also include's a shift arm that you must have to make it work, there is nothing stock that come's close.Another tip is the tran's WILL contact the shifter bottom, you will need to clearance it or you will have drive line vibration in the shifter.Good luck.

Chris, I tried shiftworx.com and unless their server is down, there is no such page. Any ideas?
