While looking at the 69 AIM manual I see where an adapter & key are called for when a speedometer cable is hooked up to 4-speed when positraction is used. Why is this? The adapter I bought in a group of parts is geared 1 to 1 , so it is not always for gearing reduction for certain rear end gears. Is there a difference between cable adapter and gear reducer? Any thoughts appreciated. What do most of you use to lubricate cable in housing? Thanks

year one sells reducers based on your gear / rear ratio and trans type+tire size. ground up also carries the same thing. give them a call and they can tell you what gear reducer to get so your spedo is correct.

groundup = 18663582277
year one = 1-800-Year-One
