Does a standard 69 tilt column not fit a convertible? If it does, rebuilt ones are readily available for around $200 (at least in Dallas).

A hardtop tilt column will fit, many G.M tilt columns will fit.I do not know exactly what ones, however the main difference is in the shift linkage lever.(I found one in the junk yard and welded a lever where it would work.)

The newer columns have the dimmer switch in the column. These will also work, if you want to by extending the wires from the floor mounted switch.

The tilt wheel will require a special adaptor to connect to the rag joint at the gearbox. his adaptor is actually part of the shaft on a non-tilt column, on the tilt column it bolts to the spline on the end of the shaft.
