If a 69 convertible had a fold down rear seat and fiber optics where would the rear indicator be located? Thanks

If you look at the AIM on page 427 for RPO U46 the location is on the back panel/trunk divider. The fold down rear seat did not have a pass trough like some of the newer car have today.

What was the purpose of a fold down rear seat if there was no pass-through?

I have a 68 with the fiber optic option. It does not have the fold down seat however. The fiber module is mounted to the back of the seat. I'm not sure if you could get both options together.

Goldn Slumbr,
It was designed for storage space in the rear. The seat would fold down, providing a level carpeted area to put your baggage or groceries.

I think it kinda gave the car that 2 seater vette look also!

I looked at page 427 and the info there isn't for a fold down. I have seen a 67 ragtop with a fold down but just can't picture what it looked like with the seat down!!!

DjD, if you have the 69 reference book by Hooper you can find a few pictures of the fold down rear seat on page 372. If I made it seem like the Fold down seat option was shown on page 427 of the AIM It is not. What is shown is the U46 lamp monitoring option and its placement on the conv. body style.
