I have a 68 with the rear window defroster option. The defroster was missing when I bought the car. I have the wiring and the switch. A friend just gave me the entire set-up from a 69. Question??? Does anybody know if the defroster assembly is the same for 68 and 69? Thanks for any input!!!

Hello,
I believe the 69 has a plastin grate while the 67 & 68 share a metal grate. Hope that helps.
Best Regards,
Jim

I have an (02D) '69 with the factory-installed C50 defogger, and it has a steel grate.

I'm not sure about 68 defrosters, but it seems like I remember them being the same as 69. The 69 should actually have the metal type vent cover, for Camaro anyway. 67 also was metal, but I think one corner of the vent was curved.
