It is under a 68. 10 bolt single traction. Multi leaf springs with u-bolts. I bought a different ratio for the rearend a long time ago and just ordered the correct one for a 68 Camaro and they fit fine. How Can I tell if someone has just added U bolts and the correct brackets for multi leaf springs? And where are the numbers to decode? The car was a 6 cyl powerglide (with factory air) so I don't think it was originally a multi leaf car. Any help would be appreciated.

The axle code is stamped on the forward section of the right side axle tube. I don't know about ID'ing the spring perch.

Typically, your Camaro (6 cyl) should have come with mono springs. It would have had either 4 "T" bolts per spring pad or one "U" bolt and 2 "T" bolts per pad.
