I've been reading posts for some time about all the header-horror stories.

It took me a while to find something to fit my '68 ragtop. 327, PS, stick, and--the tough part--cast iron GM angle plug heads.

I found two brands that would fit (aside from Super Comps--too big and expensive for my car). Thorley's and Doug's Headers. Doug's is Doug Thorley, who split with Thorley.

Anyway, Doug's redesigned part no. 375Y, and it really hugs the block and clears everything. We had to disconnect the clutch pedal and spring, jack the car up, and put it through from underneath the car.

They look great, and have nice, fat flanges.

Rock on!

I have the Dynomax Jet Hot coated headers from Jeg's. I am running angle plug Sportsman II heads. The ONLY plug I have been able to use is the ACCEL stubby plug. Works great.

I am running hooker super comp coated headers with my Dart angle plug heads. I run the standard size plug with no problems...
