I have a 1987 Z28 with the 305 LG4 engine (5 speed trans & 4 barrel carb. How much horsepower for stock engine?

1987 Z28/305 4bl 5-speed Black & Silver. . .

If you have an alum. intake (standard), according to GM it is producing 245hp at 2800 rpm. I had the same motor in my 87'. Hope that helps. Also check out Thirdgen.org for more info on your car.

Sorry, but no way is that 305 making 245hp at 2800 rpm...I think you mean 245 lbs-ft of torque. I belive 87 LG4's were about 165hp or so.

I stand corrected, travis is right, the 87' LG4 produced [email protected] rpm and [email protected] rpm. It also had a CR of 9.3:1.
