68 camaro with 396 water temp sending unit will not come off. Used a 12 point socket on 12 in. breaker bar. Im worried i will strip the existing sender ????????

Do you have an air impact gun that's used for lug nuts? That's what I used with an impact socket at 120 psi and it came right off.

Ditto . . . 6 point sockets have bailed me out of many a jam. They hold better than a 12 point.
