i am lookin at purchasing a 68 6cyl with an auto powerglide 2sp tranny. the trans slips a little now, so if i buy the car i want to change it all together, i want something with a little more juice then the powerglide, what are my options?? did the 6cyl come in anything other then the powerglide? I have a good budget, so money is really not that much concern. just want a solid tranny with good pep. thanks, ryan

I seen a 6cyl with a 700R4 attached to it , I dont know if there were special adaptors involved, but it was cool. I have also seen them with the TH350

Bell housings and all the other stuff should be the same as the V-8 stuff. That is for the (I think) 194, 230, 250 and 292 sixes. The starter is a lighter duty unit, but a V-8 one will really turn a six over.

(I'm not tooo sure, is the 194 correct or is it 196??) pdq67
