Question

It's been a while since I pulled an engine but I'm going to be doing so soon in my 69 (w/ PG tranny attached). I have the front clip removed so it should go a bit easier.

The wiring harness(es) are no longer attached and I removed the fan, alt, power steering, headers, starter, fuel line, throttle cable, heater hoses, ... I flushed the fluid from the cooling system but I'm leaving the oil in as it will be sitting for a while (1+ years) and I want to turn it frequently.

I drained the tranny fluid and pulled the drive shaft. The spedo and shifter cables are disconnected. (The horse-shoe shifter is still in the car) I pulled the tranny fluid lines to the radiator, which came out when I pulled the front clip.

Other than tranny and engine mounts, anything I am forgetting???

Thanks!

remove your tranny crossember. this allows the assembly(eng/tranny) to tilt.
then when you have everything in, just slide it in and you can bolt it in later.

Sounds like a good idea! Thanks!

How many bolts / where are they located?

Two bolts/nuts on each side where the ends of the crossmember attach to the subframe.
