Question

On a '69 there are two different bottom plactic heater duct extensions....a small one about 8" wide or a large one about 23" wide.

The question is...was the small one used on non A/C cars and the large one on A/C cars or was the small one used without a factory console and the large one with a factory console?
Thanks for the help, AL.

The small square shaped one with the 3 rectangular shaped openings (one on each visble face is the one that is used with a console. The long one that has sort of an arced bottom edge to it is used in non console, non A/C cars. A/C cars have to use the one for use with the console because of the connection to the upper air duct.

Thanks for the reply Mark.

Those of you with a non A/C car and a factory console... would you mind taking a look at your car and posting what you find?
Thanks, AL.
