Is the 9 inch rearend shorter or longer or same size as the 69 camaro 12 bolt?

It depends on which one you get. 9 inches are similar to 12-bolts in that they made different lengths for different cars. Supposedly, there is a Mustang 9 inch that is practically a bolt in. You might check the archives.

Get a hold of big gear head he will know he dose them all the time. He will make you one to fit if you need

The early Mustang rear end is suppose to work in a Camaro. I'm not sure but I think the '66 and later Fairlane rear ends may be the same as the Mustang. Of course the Cougar and Comet are the same as the Fords.
