It all depends on how fast you want to go.You don't need the belts or cage until you ga faster than 11.99.The loop is cheap and good insurance the best thing to do is get a rule book.I just posted some pics of my car under bench racing if you want to see the cage and a few other shots.

Make sure to use the LOOP !!!!
Once when I was young.. I was on a date with the 66 Chevy II...of course I had to show-off and after a hard launch the drive shaft twisted like a pretzel and catapolted the back end of the car up so high, I was looking almost straight down at pavement...when the rear came back down..the rest of the drive shaft came through the floor and missed my "family jewels" by a cm or two !!!!
Well, that should be enough to convince you .
So you ask what ever happened to my date??
Well she was hysterical and never saw her again...

I have a driveshaft loop, trunk mounted battery, Jaz plastic seats, C- clip eliminators and long studs on the rear axles.
I will be installing a 6 point cage shortly.

i have a 4point rollbar, subframe connectors, and a safetyloop on the way.

also if you mount a battery or fuel cell in the trunk, you need to put in a steel or aluninum plate to seperate the trunk from the passenger compartment, and a master disconnect switch on the rear for track officals.
