Anyone out there have a part number A/C, Fram, etc. for the L48 350/300HP cowl induction air cleaner filter element on a 69?

The one in my car doesn't have any identifying numbers on it, and none of the filter reference books list it anymore. All the counter guys can tell me is if I bring the old one in they can match it up. I don't have it with me and would like to stop at the shop to pick up a new filter tonight on the way home.

Thanks,

Mark, isn't it just a 14" X 3" high air cleaner element?

Its a 12" (little less actually) by about 3 1/2" tall. The Fram books list only the CA327 which is 12" by 2 1/2" tall for just about all small blocks in 69. They list the CA326 (I think) for the 69 Camaros with 427 engines, which all should have the Cowl hood on them. These should work (the CA326) but I didn't have a ruler (or my existing one) last time I was in a store to compare sizes.

The open element ones are 14" in diameter and are probably 4" tall. They won't fit inside the air cleaner at all.

I have a listing for the air filter.
It is out of Classic industries and lists it as an AC212. You may be able to cross reference that number. They sell one with the lettering silkscreened on for 34.50 and the other without is 7.50.
National parts depot lists it as a c-3410-24
They list it as AC Delco. I hope this helps.

Mark -

The ZL-2 element for a Z-28 is an AC A212CW; I think the element is the same as the other two ZL-2 air cleaners (14"x 3"), but the air cleaner assembly numbers are different due to different base shapes for Q-Jet vs. Holley.

I crossed that AC212 to a Fram CA136 filter element, its 3" tall but it looks like its 13.5" in diameter. Functionally it fits into the air cleaner housing, but it is set back about 3/8" all the way around the upper cover. The existing element I have fits flush with the edge of the upper cover. The filter element must be just a bit thinner in cross section. Either its a really poor copy or it's more of a universal open element type air cleaner. It is listed for 396 Camaros, and 427 passenger cars in the fram catalog. I'll have to take to one I have down to my parts guy and have him match it up to something.

NAPA has a real nice version of the A212cw, fits and looks better than the Fram one, looks like the AC..can't remember the number, but they could find it real easy. think it cost 3 bucks.i have that on the 14" open element air cleaner in my nova.

Got a NAPA part number of 2095 for one of their "GOLD" filters. 22095 for one of their "SILVER" filters. Silver filters have significantly less paper element and pleats than the gold series. All they had was the 22095 but it is a very close dimensional match to the current one on my car. Ordered a pair for pickup tomorrow. All for 8.50 each.
