Question

I need to store a carb for over a year.

I have been told to submerge it in gas to "pickle" it and it will be fine.

Any thoughts???

Thanks!

Just turn it upside down so the float bowl empties through the bowl vents and put it away in a box or a bag. Storing it in gasoline is a dumb idea - fire hazard, among other things.

I agree, just get the fuel out of it, wrap it in plastic, and put it in a box.

Thanks fellas'! I wasn't to keen on the gas thing - that's why I asked the pros!

You think it will need a rebuild after sitting over a year?

No, it'll be fine - just get all the gas out of it and bag it.
