Unhappy

Anyone know if parts to rebuild a steering column are still available? Mine has many missing parts I.e.: springs, ect. it also needs bearings. on the lower end and I guess I will replace upper just to make it all good. Better yet does anyone know where I could have it rebuilt?

Thumbs up

I went to a pontiac dealer in Great Falls Montana, they had a parts locater computer. They found me an original bearing for the lower end of my column. cost like ten bucks and had it inside of a week. The bearing had been discontinued for something like twenty years!! The chevy place was not very helpful, thats why I went over to the pontiac dealer. Firebird parts do interchange, for the most part anyway.
I did not have any luck going through ricks or year one.

Tim,

Can you please post the part number on the receipt and box for that lower bearing. That's great information!
