Anyone put power windows in your ride? How hard is it?

If your going to put factory p/w in a 67; get yourself a big box o Band-Aids first, then be prepared to pay $500 - $1000 for a complete setup with all wiring, switches, boots, ect. Then allow your self at least 16 hours per window for installation and adjustments IF you’re familiar with changing the windows and have all of the wiring in place… Maybe less time if you have really small hands and are double jointed…

I'm currently trying to find a junkyard swap that I can do using newer equiptment.....so far no luck. the only info I can offer right now is tht 2nd generation power window motors only are the same ones as used in my 69 (not sure about 67 or 68)

There is a new kit out from http://www.electric-life.com/electric.htm that works just like the factory system. It is available from Summit for just over $200. (Switch kits are separate.) The only problem is it is only for the front doors. Not really a problem unless you have a convertible. But you could use a universal kit for the rear if needed.

I put PWR Windows in my 68. I bought the setup off of ebay for $475 for everything. Here is my trick to you, My car needed door skins which are only $120 ea. So when we took the old skins off I installed the pwr setup...CAKE....Just a little help...remember to do the rears the same way if you are putting on 1/4s.

Electric life actually offers the bolt in setup for the rear too! they quoted me like 800 for EVERYTHING including factory style chrome switches!

68 convertible...ZZ4, ect
67 base coupe - all orig!!

I just got some info from Nu Relic... complete setup $649. Haven't bought it, but it's on my list.
