I saw a 69 pace car convertible tonite. It was white, orange stripes, orange houndstooth interior. The unusual part was column shifter and console with a wood grain plate in the hole where the shifter would be. I've never seen this before, is this stock or something someone made to fit? I have NO idea if this was a REAL pace car or a clone.

There are indeed column shift Z11 Pace Cars like the one you saw. Somewhat rare but not desirable.

Yeah, but I've never seen a console with that wood grain plate in the middle where the shifter would go.

I think this car was on ebay the other day. Looks kinda strange, but obviously someone wanted to add a console.....
